CHANGSIZE--December 14th, the first domestic under-well rescue robot with life detection function inside was successful developed by Shenyang Siasun Robot & Automation Co,.Ltd. With sound pickup and thermal infrared film imager devices installed, this robot can realize functions of “hearing” help sound and active detecting trapped people. At present, the robot has passed experts’ technical testing.
Due the complex situations of tunnels and concentrated toxic gas, it is difficult to carry on the rescue work after coal mining accidents happened, with high risk of secondary accidents suffered. Through three years both efforts of Shenyang Siasun Robot & Automation Co,.Ltd and Institute of Automation Shandong Academy of Science, sample of this robot was developed in 2006.
This robot adopts caterpillar running mechanism, with ability of over-obstacle. Through optical monitoring device, the robot can detect well environment including tunnel’s damage situation, and transmit real time video signal by wireless and cable network. Toxic gas, pressure and temperature detector are also build in this robot, to ensure the safety of rescues. Via dual voice transmission system, rescuers can contact with trapped people, to realize trapped person’s information and surrounding environment, and help them to build self-confidence.
